Who & what is behind CJD?
CJD or Community Joined-Up Development is the consulting expertise of Award-Winning Community Business Consultant Carole Donnelly.
Carole is now offering 1:1 coaching on Health & Wellbeing that enables you to maintain your health and continue to support the local community
Carole set up CJD in 2020 in response to the complex systems and a lack of joined-up pragmatic solutions for community organisations.
Who is Carole?

Carole has developed her 1:1 coaching support in the Health & Wellbeing arena - working with you to develop a healthier lifestyle that then enables you to be the change in the local community. Carole is primarily working with the over 50’s to ensure they can lead a healthier, happier, active and stress free life well into their retirement, whenever that will be!
Carole is the Public Affairs Advisor for the UK & International Health Coaching Association (UKIHCA) working with the senior management team to develop key strategies to ensure Health Coaching gains national recognition as a supportive way to increase the wellbeing of citizens.
Carole is a social entrepreneur, a double fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and has supported heritage community and social businesses for more than 30 years. More recently has developed a new part of her business to offer health & wellbeing coaching alongside her business coaching.
Carole is an award-winning social entrepreneur, a double Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, and a former WISE 100 Woman for social enterprise development. She is passionate about supporting individuals & communities to develop and grow.
Carole has worked with the National Organisation Power to Change since early 2020. She supported the very successful Powering Up Programme until December 2023. She is the former Co-Chair of the Social Economy Taskforce for the West Midlands Combined Authority to develop the Social Economy across the West Midlands with a keen interest to open up social investment opportunities across the region . Carole has also led many research programmes including working with School for Social Entrepreneurs heritage programme and as an Assessor for the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) on their Health & Wellbeing Awards.
Carole has developed and saved several community assets (buildings) over the last 20+ years, has a background in social housing and established tenant-led organisations in Birmingham as well as working across a wide variety of communities.
